Fistful of Lead: Tales of Horror

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Fistful of Lead: Tales of Horror is a supplement for Fistful of Lead.

This is not a stand alone game. You will need a copy of Fistful of Lead Core rules or Fistful of Lead: Galactic Heroes to play.

As with previous Fistful of Lead rules each player only needs 5 or 6 miniatures to start gaming. You can play 1 on 1 games or larger skirmishes with up to 6 or 8 players.

The main protagonists of Tales of Horror are the Vampires, Werewolves and other monsters from folklore and the horror films of the silver screen. This supplement describes the various creatures and provides traits and additional rules to allow players to use the Fistful of Lead rules to play Gothic Horror games, or any Horror genre.

Players will take on the roles of these Creatures of the Night, or the brave Hunters who pursue them.

44 pages of Gruesome Adventure.

Sorry for the late response, I don't check here as often as our website.
Kevin: There are rules for Fear. It would be easy enough to add insanity ala Cthulu.
Allan: Core was written AFTER GH because we didn't want to release titles that were half what people already owned. Thus ToH as a supplement vs stand alone. Core explains things better and Armor rules are different from GH. Core has some modern weapons listed.
Hope that helps.

This horror module requires Fistful of Lead Core or Fistful of Lead: Galactic Heroes to play. Is one of those two modules better to use than the other? I plan to run Tales of Horror for Cthulhu Mythos, mostly set in the 1920s, but also some set in modern day. Would I be missing anything if I used Galactic Heroes instead of Fistful of Lead? In particular, would I be better off getting Fistful of Lead Core in order to get World War II through modern day weapons? Or are all those weapons listed in Tales of Horror? I have a "raid on Innsmouth" scenario in mind, which will see US Marines armed with rifles, Tommy Guns, and medium machine guns, and a Delta Green game with characters armed with assault rifles. To cover all those weapons, would I be better off getting Fistful of Lead Core, or are the stats already in Galactic Heroes and/or Tales of Horror? I plan to get Galactic Heroes at some point, so I don't want to get Core if Galactic Heroes works equally as well.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
